Abstract

The 14 black-and-white photographs document Helmut Buechner's observations of Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge, 1949. Images show terrain and wildlife in their habitat. Subject matter includes elk and calf, cottontail, pronghorns, and bison. There are captions on the back describing date, location (with landmark and distance from), terrain, camera settings, distance from subject, and description.
