Abstract

The 6 envelopes of photographs document Helmut Buechner's observations of vegetation in the northwest United States and British Columbia, Canada, 1952 - 1953. Envelope 1 includes images of "permanent" meadows, Mill Creek Watershed, Washington, during July 14, 1952 (with captions) ; envelope 2 shows scenes along the Skyline Drive, Blue Mountains, Washington during August, 1952; envelope 3 shows Gedney Creek and Selway River, Idaho, 1952. Envelope 3 includes captions with description, date, location, and camera settings as well as a two pages of image descriptions. Envelope 4 includes images of Lake Sheridan and Lac La Hashe (?), British Columbia, 1952 (with captions); envelope 5 shows Potholes Reservoir area, ten miles south of Moses Lake, Washington during June 10, 1953; and envelope 6 includes images of Deschutes and Fremont national Forest, May 23-24, 1952. Envelope 6 includes a page of image descriptions.
