Abstract

Six envelopes of images document Helmut Buechner's study of pronghorn in Texas, 1947. Most images are a variety of views of pronghorn; some have a negative numbers written on the back. Envelope 1 includes detailed images of pronghorn (o76), envelope 2 is (87E) terrain of Trans-Pecos region in Texas, envelope 3 includes distance and details images of pronghorn, some with colleagues interacting with them. Envelope 4 includes images of individual and groups of pronghorn (adult and recently born fawns), as well as vegetation from May 26 - 28, 1947, at Up and Down Ranch (Ft. Davis, Texas). There are detailed captions on the reverse with description, location (ranch name, distance from nearby town), photographer, and date. Envelope 5 includes images of Trans-Pecos region terrain, and envelope 6 shows individual pronghorn.
