This item consists of a folder of data collected at sea by Pacific Ocean Biological Survey Program staff, on the Eastern Area Cruise 10, 1967, aboard the USCGC Rockaway. Materials include: bird observation sheets (At Sea Daily Log E), fix data sheets, and surface weather observations. Bird observation sheets include time, species, #, dir., hgt., and remarks. Remarks include physical descriptions of birds (colors, size, maturity), flock size, and behavior (sitting on water, feeding, calling, etc.). Fix data sheets include date, time and position data, distance data, time of fix, type of fix, longitude, latitude, wind dir., wind sp., wave dir., wave hgt. Surface weather observations include: vessel, station, date, time, station, dry bulb, wet bulb, rel. humidity, total sky cover, clouds and obscuring phenomena, total opaque sky cover, sea water, sea waves, and swell waves. Also includes photocopied preliminary report and a report of ocean station vessel patrol for the Eastern Topical Pacific Oceanographic Cruise No. 1.
