Abstract

The color slides document Helmut Buechner's field work with bighorn sheep in Colorado and Wyoming, 1954. Some slides include captions with a combination of short description (including vegetation type), location, photographer, and date. Subject matter includes vistas of terrain, vegetation (detail and distance images), mammals (mule deer, sheep), birds, and unidentified individuals, Locations include Colorado (Tarryall, Buffalo Peaks, Pikes Peak, Rocky Mountain National Park, Ouray, Fraser, Mesa Verde, Georgetown), Wyoming (Jackson Hole).
