Abstract

The color slides document Helmut Buechner's field work with pronghorn antelope in Oklahoma National Wildlife Refuge and the Blue Mountains, 1947 - 1953. Slides are often numbered, include short captions, location, and date. Sometimes captions include names of colleagues. Images frequently show detail and distance views of individual and groups of pronghorn antelope. Others show candid images of colleagues, vegetation and environments (woods and alpine meadows), birds, and examples of soil erosion. Locations include but are not limited to: California, Idaho (Gedney Creek), Oregon (Freemont National Forest), Texas, Washington (Olympia National Forest, Moses Lake), Wyoming (Yellowstone National Park).
