Abstract

The color slides document Helmut Buechner's field work in California and Mexico, c. 1954-1960. Many of the images show types of terrain and vegetation. Subject matter also includes views of wildlife (mammals, birds). Locations include Sierra Nevada, Joshua Tree National Park, Death Valley, San Diego Zoo, and Baja California.
