PrintThe loose pages include field notes, observations, and observation summaries of tagged kob, March - August, 1963. Observations and notes include various formats and content. There are typed and handwritten materials. Typed materials include tables of data on tagged animals relating to changed numbers organized by sex and age, as well as typed out pink sheets with information for observed tagged kob (June - August). Handwritten notes include material on formation and movement of kob herds in relation to season changes in environment or vegetation and rainfall, written for April 21, July 16, 1963; dated notes with headings for description of herd from location (e.g. TG6), transition period, beginning of wet season, and dry season; daily observations of kob in various identified locations (e.g. TG7), March - May, non consecutive. Daily entries vary. Some cover time of day with descriptions of composition (sex, age), behavior, movements of herds, and kob counts organized by sex and age. Others are observations of individual kob organized by time of day. Some include sketches of kob anatomy or herds in environment.
