Abstract

The dictabelt is a recording of Helmut Buechner's field notes for work completed in Wassa Camp, Semliki Game Reserve, Uganda, August 23 - 27, 1959. Entries include date and describe observations of kob behavior and interactions. Details cover territorial ground number, time of day, descriptions of individual kob (sometimes tag number, physical characteristics, sex, behaviors, location), details about photographs taken (including camera settings), and weather. There are also descriptions of herd population, with estimated percentage corresponding to age and sex. Entries describe interactions between sexes, include mating behavior. Sections of entries have observations organized by time of day.
