Abstract

The dictabelt is a recording of Helmut Buechner's field notes for work completed in Semliki Game Reserve, Uganda, August 14 - 18, 1959. Entries include date and describe numbered territorial grounds as well as individual and groups of kob. Details cover the process and methods used to sedate and tag kob, along with period of time, amount of solution, and physical actions of individual kob. Details also discuss photographs taken, observed behaviors and interactions with sex, age, and tag number indicated. Notes indicate he worked with Bill Pridham.
