Abstract

The dictabelt is a recording of Helmut Buechner's field notes for work completed in Semliki Game Reserve, Uganda, July 18 -20, 1959. Entries are headed with date and describe process of tranquilizing and tagging kob. Buechner includes measurements taken, observations (with amount of time) of how individual kob react to sedative solution as well as details about solution used. He lists tag number, size, weight, sex, and age. There are also detailed descriptions of kob behavior and interactions as well as other area wildlife.
