Abstract

The papers document Helmut K. Buechner's field work in Uganda, 1958. Includes typed and handwritten materials. Handwritten materials include checklist and observations of vegetation plots in Terminalia Woodland at Waringo. Details include date, plot number, list of plants (scientific name, quantity, age), and information on soil and litter. Some pages have observations on vegetation abundance. There is also a tally of trees and grasses for same location and well as correspondence discussing determinations of botanical specimens and tables of data relating to aerial counts of elephants. Typed materials include reports, details on photographs taken in Murchison Fall National Park, itinerary for Uganda (1959), tag records for Uganda Kob, and tables relating to loyalty of male Ugand [Uganda] Kob to territorial ground.
