Abstract

This item consists of a folder of data collected at sea by Pacific Ocean Biological Survey Program staff, 1966 on the Northern Grid Survey 34, aboard the George Eastman (YAG-39). Materials include: bird observation sheets and fix data. Bird observation sheets include time, species, #, dir., hgt., and remarks. Remarks include physical descriptions of birds (colors, size, maturity), flock size, and behavior (sitting on water, feeding, calling, etc.). Fix data sheets include date, time and position data, distance data, time of fix, type of fix, longitude, and latitude. Also includes photocopied preliminary report.
