Abstract

The notebook documents plant collections in Uganda relating to Helmut K. Buechner's field work, 1962 - 1964. First page also includes Walter Leuthold's contact information. There is a list of categories on the inside of the cover "number, collector, date, location, elevation, site, community." The notebook begins with date, location, terrain and environment description (e.g. 100 m from edge of riverine forest. Heavy clay-loam dark gray soil), followed by lists of plants in the vicinity. Details vary. Most consist of number and scientific or common name, sometimes short notes on appearance. Environment descriptions are given for specimen number ranges. Much of the notebook is blank.
