Abstract

This item consists of a folder of data collected at sea by Pacific Ocean Biological Survey Program staff, 1966 on the Miscellaneous Pelagic Cruise No. 7 aboard the USS & GS Ship Surveyor. Location is at sea, north of the Hawaiian Islands. Materials include: bird observation sheets and climatological data sheets. Bird observation sheets include time, species, #, dir., hgt., and remarks. Remarks include physical descriptions of birds (colors, size, maturity), flock size, and behavior (sitting on water, feeding, etc.). Climatological data includes time, lat., long., pres wea, vis, slp, dry b, wet b, dew pt, hum%, tl sky, opa sky, waves, sea temp, wind s, wind d, course, speed. Also included is a typed report and a corrector tape printout with explanation.
