PrintThe vegetation observation sheets documenting Helmut Buechner's work, June 19 - July 23, September 19, 1951. Sheets come in two formats. First sheets include date, location, base line #, trst #, Plt #, species with subheadings (grasses, forbs, shrubs, trees), remarks, and % utilization. The second set of sheets list type of environment (e.g. open timber), location, date, exposure, slope, elevation, base line number, transect number, plot number, scats (elk - fresh, old; mule deer - fresh, old), followed by species of plant followed with production (gr.) with green wt. dry wt.; utilization (%) of paired plot; and coverage (t, 1, 2, 3). Species of plants are listed under headings: grass, forbs, shrubs, and trees. There are sometimes addition observation notes about bottom or verso of pages. Locations include Lewis Peak, Bull Ridge, Indian Ridge (June - July) and Lewis Peak (September).
