Abstract

The vegetation observation sheets documenting Helmut Buechner's work at Milk Shakes Peak in Oregon, July 28 - September 13, 1951. Sheets list type of environment (e.g. open timber), location, date, exposure, slope, elevation, base line number, transect number, plot number, scats (elk - fresh, old; mule deer - fresh, old), followed by species of plant followed with production (gr.) with green wt. dry wt.; utilization (%) of paired plot; and coverage (t, 1, 2, 3). Species of plants are listed under headings: grass, forbs, shrubs, and trees.
