Abstract

The vegetation observation sheets documenting Helmut Buechner's work at Table Rock, August 4, 1951. Sheets list type of environment (e.g. open timber), location, date, exposure, slope, elevation, base line number, transect number, plot number, scats (elk - fresh, old; mule deer - fresh, old), followed by species of plant followed with production (gr.) with green wt. dry wt.; utilization (%) of paired plot; and coverage (t, 1, 2, 3). Species of plants are listed under headings: grass, forbs, shrubs, and trees. Additionally he lists range of time for observations, and on the verso of forms are narrative description of environment and additional lists of data on plants.
