Abstract

This item consists of a folder of data collected at sea by Pacific Ocean Biological Survey Program staff, 1966. The cruise began in Honolulu, Hawaii and ended in Seattle, Washington. Materials include: bird observation sheets, fix data sheets, and climatological data sheets. Bird observation sheets include time, species, #, dir., hgt., remarks, and noon position. Remarks include physical descriptions of birds (colors, size, maturity), flock size, and behavior (sitting on water, feeding, etc.). Fix data sheets include date, time and position data, distance data, time of fix, type of fix, longitude, and latitude. Climatological data includes time, lat., long., pres wea, vis, slp, dry b, wet b, dew pt, hum%, tl sky, opa sky, waves, sea temp, wind s, wind d, course, speed. Also included is a typed report.
