Abstract

The field notes, correspondence, and maps document Helmut Buechner's observations of bighorn sheep in Nevada as part of the Bighorn Sheep Study, 1955 and 1959. Materials also include parts of reports with edits; typed field notes for Desert Game Range (April, 1954 -April, 1955, nonconsecutive) noting observations of flora and fauna (lists of plants with abundance), terrain (elevation), transects sampled, and routes; and portions of narrative reports. Includes two maps with hand notations on sheep distributions for numbered sites as well as "rumored" locations.
