Abstract

The field notes document Helmut Buechner's observations of wildlife, September 30 - December 15, 1949. Entries are written on loose sheets of paper, dated and headed with location and species which include mule deer and elk. They describe location information, fellow observers, and fauna observed (common name, quantity). Some entries detail numbered plots and transects which sometimes include Terrain (elevation, slope) and vegetation. There is a table of data for vegetation types and location coverage. Locations are in William T. Wooten Game Range [Wooten Game Reserve], Washington.
