Abstract

This item consists of a folder of data collected at sea by Pacific Ocean Biological Survey Program staff, 1965, on Southern Island Cruise 9. Materials include: fix data, bird observation sheets, and climatological data sheets. Fix data sheets include date, time and position data, distance data, time of fix, type of fix, longitude, and latitude. Bird observation sheets include time, species, #, dir., hgt., remarks, and loc. Remarks include physical descriptions of birds (colors, size, maturity), flock size, and behavior (sitting on water, feeding, etc.). Climatological data includes time, lat., long., pres wea, vis, slp, dry b, wet b, dew pt, hum%, tl sky, opa sky, waves, sea temp, wind s, wind d, course, speed.
