Notebook begins with notes on scientific reference texts, personal items, followed by a table of data for May 30 - June 24 (date, time, temp, WB, wind, cloud, course, and notes); followed by dated journal entries (May 11 - June 21); then a series of lists for expenses, illustrations and notes on shells, provisions, as well as alpha-numeric identifiers for locations followed by descriptions, and varnish for specimens.
