Abstract

Photographs and document Arthur Sowerby's observations of fossils in China (undated). Some photographs have captions of varying lengths, some include year. Some images are stamped with China Journal and sundries number. Some fossils of flora and fauna are in exhibits of the "Museum of the Geological Survey". Other images show rock formations with captions that identify type of stone and location. Some location identifications are unclear. Locations include Lai-wu district [Laiwu] Shantung [Shandong], Ssu-shui, Suiyana, W. Kansu [Gansu], and N. Szechuan [Sichuan].
