China, miscellaneous lantern slides (2)
Close
PrintLantern slides document the field work of Arthur Sowerby during hunting expeditions in China (undated) as well as miscellaneous images. Subject matter covers terrain (rivers, vistas of rivers, desert, forest, coastline, waterfall, rock outcroppings), docked sailing vessels, building ruins, and portrait of local inhabitants. A partial caption identified on a lantern slide image of desert appears to be from a publication, and indicates image is not in China.
