Abstract

Lantern slides document the field work of Arthur Sowerby during hunting expeditions in China (undated) as well as miscellaneous images. Subject matter covers terrain (desert, rock outcroppings), men on a boat, caravan of trucks in desert, unidentified archaeological ruins, local inhabitants in traditional dress, sailing vessels (junks) in various locations including in port, local inhabitants sailing and working in port, and unidentified individuals at waterfall and coastline.
