Abstract

The 2 notebooks document geological fieldwork completed by August Foerste in Ohio (undated). The first notebook begins with a list of counties and contacts. Pages are numbered. Entries vary in content. Some appear to describe specimens (with illustrations), while others describe location and terrain, sometimes with geological sections detailing characteristics and colors of layers with measurements. The second notebook includes the same variety of information.
