Abstract

The notebook documents geological fieldwork completed by August Foerste in Kentucky, 1902. Pages are numbered. Entries begin with location information (sometimes includes a combination of name of homeowner, geological landmark, town, distance from). They include geological sections with measurements, composition of terrain, type and color of stone, and sometimes sketches and hand drawn maps. Appears to include list of unidentified information that might relation to directions.
