Abstract

The field book documents geological survey field work of August Foerste in central Kentucky, 1898. Pages are numbered. Entries are headed with location (town, county, distance from landmark) with hand drawn maps with notes and descriptions. Descriptions are listed by numbered locations and include descriptions of terrain and geological composition. Descriptions used distances from landmarks like fences or creeks in an area.
