Abstract

This item consists of the diary Floyd Alonzo McClure, 1928. Notes are narrative and describe daily activities and travel with his wife and young daughter. Most notes are of a personal nature, but some notes may be of interest on botanical and field activities. Included are weather observations, notes on travel, and reflections. Many notes document McClure's time aboard the S.S. Trier, through the Red Sea, Indian Ocean, Sumatra (Indonesia), Singapore, Hong Kong, and ending in Canton (China) where he had a home. Other localities include: Pittsburgh (US), Germany (Den Haag to Hamburg), Italy.
