Abstract

Logbooks of the Albatross covering stations D4567-D5913 and H4805-H5771, 6 October 1904 to 6 March 1914. Data recorded includes station number, position by bearing and distance from ship (latitude, longitude), chart, date, time of day, depth, character of bottom, temperature (wet, air, surface, bottom), salinity (surface, bottom), apparatus, trawl (depth, direction), drift (direction, distance), remarks, current (rev., knots per hour), and tide. Also includes separate tables of plankton, mollusks, worms, and other specimens collected. Locality: North Pacific Ocean, mostly along the west coast of America including California, Mexico, Panama, Peru, and the Galapagos Islands. San Francisco Bay and Lechura Bay are included. Oversized logbook.
