Abstract

Original logbook of the Grampus (mislabeled "Halcyon"), 10 to 18 August 1921, station record numbers 10512-10562. Data recorded includes station number, date, hour, position (lat, long), locality, depth, bottom, sample, wind (direction and force), sea, sky, temperatures (depth of, thermometer make and number, reading, stem temp, correction, corrected temp, w. sample, bottle used), currents (depth, hour, tide, time down, revolutions, speed, direction), color water, transparency, remarks, nets (description, depth, time, speed), and notes. Notes often include lists of specimens collected including quantities for some. Locality: Gulf of Maine.
