Abstract

Original logbook of the Fish Hawk covers October 25 to December 9, 1915, station record numbers 8350 to 8398. Logbook includes fields for station number, date, hour, position (latitude and longitude), locality, depth, bottom, sample, wind (direction, force), sea, sky, temperatures (depth, thermometer, reading, stem temp, correction, correction temp, w. sample, bottle used), current (depth, hour, tide, time down, revolutions, speed, direction), color of water, transparency, remarks, nets used etc. (description, depth, time down, time up, speed), and notes. Data is not filled in for currents. Remarks include notes on course. Locality: along the coast of Virginia including Cape Henry.
