Original logbook of the Fish Hawk covers September 2, 1914 - July 28, 1915, station record numbers 8246 to 8296. Logbook includes fields for station number, date, hour, position (latitude and longitude), locality, depth, bottom, sample, wind (direction, force), sea, sky, temperatures (depth, thermometer, reading, stem temp, correction, correction temp, w. sample, bottle used), current (depth, hour, tide, time down, revolutions, speed, direction), color of water, transparency, remarks, nets used etc. (description, depth, time down, time up, speed), and notes. Data is not filled in for currents. Locality: Gulf Stream [state not specified]; Boca Grande, Florida; Gulf of Mexico; Beaufort and Cape Fear River, North Carolina; various locations in South Carolina.
