PrintOriginal logbook of the Fish Hawk covers February 18 - March 24, 1914, station record numbers 8048 to 8097. These include data relating to temperature and density recorded during dredging. Data recorded includes date, time of day, tide, locality, exact location (latitude and longitude), depth, nature of bottom, dredging instrument used, direction of drift, distance, temperature (of air, surface water, bottom), density of surface and bottom, number of salinometer, barometer reading, state of sky, direction of wind, name of observer, and position of observer. Some fields do not contain data, including salinometer, density of water, and direction of current. Position of observer is listed as latitude and longitude and chart number. Observer is not listed. Locality: Hooper Island Light, Blackstone Island [Saint Clements Island], and Annapolis in Maryland.
