Abstract

Original logbook of the Fish Hawk, 21 April to 25 May 1916, station record numbers 8497-8545. Data recorded include station no., date, hour, position (lat. and long.), locality, depth, bottom, wind direction, wind force, sea, sky, temperatures, currents, "nets, etc., used", and notes. Notes include remarks on course, tide and other notes. Stations are located in waters off of Virginia and Maryland. Localities include: Thimble Shoal, Cape Henry, Hooper Island, James Island, and possibly others.
