Abstract

Original logbook of the Fish Hawk, 3 September 1914 to 29 July 1915, station record numbers 8248-8298. Data recorded include station no., date, hour, position (lat. and long.), locality, depth, bottom, wind direction, wind force, sea, sky, temperatures, currents, "nets, etc., used", and notes. Notes include remarks on course, depth at end of run, surface salinity, surface temperature, dredging direction, and other notes. Locality: Boca Grande (FL), Gulf of Mexico, Atlantic Ocean off of the coast of Florida, Beaufort (NC), Ouslow Bay, Winyah Bay (SC), Cape Fear River (NC), possibly others.
