Abstract

Original logbook of the Albatross, station numbers c 20001 to 20040, 30 October to 14 December 1919. Data recorded include station number (no.), date, hour, position, locality, depth, bottom, sample, wind (direction and force), sea, sky, temperatures (depth, thermometer make and no., reading, stem temp., correction, corrected temp., w. sample, bottle used), currents (depth, hour, tide, time down, revolutions, speed, direction), color of water, transparency, remarks, nets used (description, depth, time, speed), and notes. Locality: Yucatan Channel, Cape Henry, Cape Canaveral, Cape Hatteras, and many other localities near Mexico, Florida, and other Southeastern states.
