Abstract

This item consists of a typed alphabetical index of Silva Cuscatlanica by Paul H. Allen, 1959. It is accompanied by photographs of specimens, and several field photographs. Field photographs are black and white and depict scenes of El Salvador including: trees; mountains; local vegetation; forests; and people. Photographs are pasted into the book with typed captions. Localities include: San Salvador, Cerro Monte Cristo, Chalatenago, Santa Ana Volcano, and possibly others. Towards the back of the book are photographs of specimens, arranged alphabetically by specimen name and pasted into the book with typed captions. Many photographs appear to have been taken after collection (on a blank background), though others appear to show the specimen living, in the field. Captions include specimen name, and occasionally a number. Many of the specimens include pencils, knives, or other markers to indicate scale.
