Abstract

This item consists of a typed copy of W. A. Archer's diary from his expedition to El Choco (Columbia) in 1931. It includes original photographs and sketches as appendices. These materials were probably taken directly from the original journal (see related item MODSI6662). Includes a map with hand drawn route of travel. Black and white photographs depict: mules; paths traveled; local people; local huts and buildings; local crafts, art, and blow guns; local vegetation and landscape; and other subjects. Also includes compiled data charts showing temperature, rainfall, and other data.
