Abstract

The correspondence between O. L. Cartwright and Charles W. Griffin relating to his collecting in southern Texas, 1969. Correspondence covers personal and professional exchanges, specimen collecting, shipments, care of specimens, field observations, and determinations. Letters occasionally have extended sections discussing appearance and habitat of collected insects. Griffin indicated that he collected from neotoma nests. Listed characteristics include appearance (color), measurements, trapping method, presence of larvae, and behavior. Includes shipment lists with notes on habitat.
