Abstract

Original logbook of the Albatross, hydro numbers 7167 to 7211, 29 August to 2 September 1916. Data recorded include station number (no.), date, hour, position, locality, depth, bottom, sample, wind (direction and force), sea, sky, temperatures (depth, thermometer make and no., reading, stem temp., correction, corrected temp., w. sample, bottle used), currents (depth, hour, tide, time down, revolutions, speed, direction), color of water, transparency, remarks, nets used (description, depth, time, speed), and notes. Locality: the North Pacific Ocean near the tip of the Baja California peninsula near Isla Santa Margarita.
