Abstract

Original logbook of the Albatross, hydro numbers 6935 to 6980, 22 and 23 August 1916. Data recorded include station number (no.), date, hour, position, locality, depth, bottom, sample, wind (direction and force), sea, sky, temperatures (depth, thermometer make and no., reading, stem temp., correction, corrected temp., w. sample, bottle used), currents (depth, hour, tide, time down, revolutions, speed, direction), color of water, transparency, remarks, nets used (description, depth, time, speed), and notes. Locality: the North Pacific Ocean approximately 200 hundred miles off the coast of Baja California (Mexico).
