Abstract

The notebook documents Theodore Reed's field work with bongo in Kenya, January - March 1970. Inside the front cover is an envelope with business card. The notebook includes a hand drawn map with notes on camps and traps, and sketches of trap types. Entries are dated and describe travel details (mode of transportation, time of day, destinations), meetings with colleagues, daily work, accommodations, habitat, and wildlife observed (including lists of mammals and birds). Much of the notebook is blank. The are feathers affixed to the back of the journal.
