Abstract

Black and white photographs were taken by Honorato Gonzale Castro of Paricutín Volcano, March - December, 1944. On the reverse side of the photographs, captions include the date, description, and photographer. Subject matter includes smoke emanating from the volcano; lava consumed buildings of San Juan; individuals working on the volcano slopes (including names); and woods on the slopes surrounding the volcano.
