Abstract

Original logbook of the Albatross, hydro numbers 6592-r to 6630, 25 June to 14 July 1916. Data recorded include station number (no.), date, hour, position, locality, depth, bottom, sample, wind (direction and force), sea, sky, temperatures (depth, thermometer make and no., reading, stem temp., correction, corrected temp., w. sample, bottle used), currents (depth, hour, tide, time down, revolutions, speed, direction), color of water, transparency, remarks, nets used (description, depth, time, speed), and notes. Locality: North Pacific Ocean off of the west coast of California (near San Clemente Island).
