Abstract

Original logbook of the Albatross, hydro numbers 6409-6453, 20 April to 3 May 1916. Data recorded include station number (no.), date, hour, position, locality, depth, bottom, sample, wind (direction and force), sea, sky, temperatures (depth, thermometer make and no., reading, stem temp., correction, corrected temp., w. sample, bottle used), currents (depth, hour, tide, time down, revolutions, speed, direction), color of water, transparency, remarks, nets used (description, depth, time, speed), and notes. Locality: Colnett Bay and the North Pacific Ocean near Cedros Island, Cape San Lazaro, and Cape Falso. Other localities may be included.
