Abstract

The field book documents E. W. Nelson's field work in Mexico with E. A. Goldman, December 1893 to August 1896. Entries are dated sometimes with date ranges. Entries describe daily work, travel details (routes, arrivals with time of day), notes on collecting locations, specimen collecting (including birds). Sometimes includes information about habitat and elevation. Entries tend to be short and concise, frequently more than one daily entry per page. He often notes distance covered per entry on the verso page. Locations includes locations across Oaxaca.
