Abstract

The black and white photographs were taken by William Foshag of Paricutín Volcano, November 23, 1944 - January 23, 1945. Includes image numbers F257C - F270W. On the reverse side, some include the image number, date, and sometimes a description or indication of vantage point. Subject matter includes aerial images of the undamaged countryside; close up and distant images of cone, crater and emanating plumes of smoke and ash; Augan flow; San Juan flow; and Zapicho flow. Includes duplicates and a panorama image of the volcano.
