Abstract

The item consists of a species catalog created by Sheldon from May through October of 1897 while working as a special agent for the U.S. Dept. of Agriculture in the state of Oregon. Entries are dated May 13, 1897 to October 15, 1897. The note book begins with an entry from Wallowa county in Oregon and ends with an entry from Union county, Oregon. Specimen are numbered 8000-9123. Entries consist of narrative description with notations on specimen height.
